Swan In The City

Hey guys, hope you had a nice start to the week!

Now that Valentine has packed up and gone until next year, we can carry on with our usual daily business. London Fashion Week is starting in a few days, and I am extremely excited about it! The reason is, this year I will actually take part in it - I am attending a few shows and I couldn't be happier about it!

Today I thought I'd write something rather different, but helpful for you, hopefully. I wanted to share with you early on, how I usually go about achieving my yearly goals. It's quite simple really, not rocket science of any kind. But it works like a charm :).

  • Firstly, I write a list of important things to achieve in the year ahead (For 2015, I put down 4 important goals to myself, which I won't reveal now, but rather at the end of the year, if that's okay with you).  It's also good to not go crazy with the amount of goals you list, as it can create unnecessary anxiety and pressure on your shoulders, and you will only end up not achieving any of them. So sit down, take a deep breath, and actually choose the most important ones
  • Then I break down my list into a more detailed plan of action and assign the tasks into seasonal quarters in a priority order. This way my goals and aspirations become sort of tangible and I can clearly see what needs to be done and when, in order to succeed.
  • Then comes the part of crucial importance, sugar cubes! Now, I know it's easy to get distracted by even a tiny little thing in life, but honestly, please do try to stick to your timeline and to-do list. Obviously don't overdo it, just try to find a nice work-life balance instead.

Now, a little info on my outfit :) The day I wore this was very windy, and I wanted to wear something really funky, laid-back and comfortable. It was early morning, I had a lot of errands to run, so I opted for my cool, beige velvet flat boots. Honestly, every time I sport them, I feel like I can conquer the world! To keep to the theme of Sunday comfort, I actually wore my older brother's jumper :D, which is classified as a "hand me down" item, since he never really wears it these days, I thought I'd make good use of it in my fashions. My gorgeous, cute little feathery skirt from Zara emphasizes the character of this ensemble very well - the swan in the city!

I hope you liked this article, please do let me know if you want me to continue writing in this direction.
