Valentines Day: Tropical Edition
Ah Valentine's Day! It's upon us again and everything has turned pink and red, the air is musky with flowery rosy scents everywhere you go. It's like magic. People around the globe are celebrating, champagne is popping, heart-shaped balloons are floating, sparks are flying, smiles are dazzling and chiffon skirts are drawing wave-lines across the dance floor.
I've always considered this day as another excuse to dress up, doesn't matter whether you're a bachelorette or taken. I've noticed that for some reason, a lot of ladies opt for pink and red shades when picking their outfit for Valentine's. But somehow it screams cliche. It's predictable, and as lovely as these fiery colours are, you want to sparkle in your own right without following a theme. So I've picked a fabulous outfit for today's special edition, that stands out and can be worn to any soiree, be it the lovers' day or any other celebration. The trick to dazzle is to have an element of unforgettable enigma that carries your ensemble, like the swan feathered skirt here. Weightless, romantic yet very cool. It's equivalent to Zoolander's signature Blue Steel stare - it comes from the back of your wardrobe, a garment to impress! You can accentuate your statement skirt with a starry high-waist belt, mine is embroidered with black pearls and gives that extra oomph to the whole look. So there it is ladies, pick and choose your ethereal phantom of a rocking outfit and shine! After all you never know, still round the corner there may wait, a new road or a secret gate ;)
