Winter Neutrals

The world is full of magic things, patiently waiting for our senses to grow sharper.
— W. B. Yeats

The world is full of magic things, patiently waiting for our senses to grow sharper. We just need to be in the right place at the right time. And so I was... The winter's been crispy and sunny lately, making it a perfect weather for long walks around town. Yesterday my friends and I went for a stroll after lunch in the city and discovered this beautiful little gem of a street. One of the reasons I love London so much is it's dynamic diversity in everything, including architecture and landscape designs. I love the eclectic mix of very old grotesque buildings clustered together with glassy ultra-modern skyscrapers. It works. So we stumbled upon the street, so lovely, that spontaneity kicked in off the bat, and we decided to use it as a backdrop for the new outfit post on TGIF. It turned out rather charming to the eye, won't you agree? :)

I love wearing pastels when I am not wearing monochrome. Neutral shades are so elegant and somehow ethereal. Most of us prefer sporting darker tones during colder months for various reasons, including the slimming effect (probably the most popular reason :D). But soft tones are great! They can immediately elevate any casual outfit, and if you add a few accessories to the mix, you can easily turn it into effortless day-to-eve wear (just make sure to always keep a pair of stilettos in your bag for that dinner party). Also, prettying up your bag with a colorful scarf gracefully steps up your day ensemble. It's a quick and easy thing to do, but makes a huge difference. So, my lovely confidantes, don't be afraid to include lighter palette in your wardrobe. Be fearless and stand out from the crowd this winter! XO
