City Utility Chic Look

Hello dear darlings!

It's winter! My favourite season of the year (I am so hopelessly wishing for snowy Christmas in London...Sigh)!

Today I bring you a practical, elegant day look. It's a very simple clothing combination to put together, so anyone can do this well :).  "Less is more" is my motto when it comes to accessories for casual office wear. The key that makes all the difference in styling up the "jeans and blouse" cocktail is choosing the right colour combination that flatters your complexion. I went for richer and darker tones that contrast between cold and hot colour palettes, and I think that's the beauty of it all. Well matched mismatch of prints is a hit trend, so I decided to utilise this in my look with a chunky monochrome day clutch from Banana Republic and a gorgeous silk scarf in symmetrical print of brown and camel tones.

I'm also wearing tan ankle boots on sensible heels, so it's comfortable to run errands during the day, but still stylishly preppy. Reflecting sunglasses in golden shade give off that cool "Bond Girl Style Queen" effect, and of course we like that ;) ! So voila, now you can fall in love with utility chic all over again, because it's pretty, comfy, preppy and above all fashionably practical!
